IDC Chicks Ride

Annually~ Last weekend of September co-hosted by BRR & TVTMA

The IDC Chicks Ride is an annual dirt bike trail ride in Idaho City primarily for ladies. For over 20+ years members of both Treasure Valley Trail Machine Association (TVTMA) and Boise Ridge Riders (BRR) have lead groups on a short and long course trail ride typically 20-40 miles each. Our goal is to build our confidence with various aspects of dirt biking from loading/unloading, navigation, maintenance, communication, teamwork through creeks and tree crossings and even emergency response. We are often heard share tips and techniques for short and petite physiques. We look forward to meeting new ladies every year and welcoming them into the community and often them helping the experience their first single track ride in the mountains without their dad, friend, or partner. It’s a day full of laughter and camaraderie. All are welcome.

Most of our ride leaders are members of both TVTMA and BRR so we like to think of it as a collaboration. Often these trails would not be clear or passable without  members countless volunteer hours clearing trails. In recent years, BRR members have volunteered to have a central command station at BRR camp to assist with any maintenance, communication or emergency as we often have 2-3 groups riding multiple routes that day.
